On New Year’s Eve, a tight-knit group of friends came together to usher in the dawn of 2024. With glasses raised high in a toast to the promising year ahead, their conversation naturally drifted to their beloved Madeira island.
Bound by a shared love for the island’s natural wonders and a deep-rooted commitment to its preservation, they felt an undeniable urge to make a positive impact. As they swapped tales of their adventures and dreams, fueled by their collective passion and a desire to make a difference, a brilliant idea began to take shape. “What if we could create a travel company that not only showcased Madeira’s stunning beauty but also championed sustainability and eco-friendliness?” After all, they pondered, the traditional tours offered by local operators predominantly relied on fuel-driven vehicles, which didn’t align with their values.
As the clock struck midnight and fireworks illuminated the sky “Madeira Electric Tours” was born — like a testament to our commitment to using electric vehicles and to crafting experiences that would not only electrify the senses but also leave a lasting impression on all who visited the island.
From that magical New Year’s Eve and the weeks that followed, our enthusiasm drove us forward. With each milestone reached, our excitement swelled, fueled by the belief that we were embarking on something truly meaningful. And finally, after months of hard work and dedication, Madeira Electric Tours began it’s activity as the first sustainable tour operator on the island of Madeira.
We wish to showcase all, that this amazing island has to offer, from the many awe-inspiring landscapes and create a lasting memory, while leading the way for responsible travel, inspiring others to explore Madeira in a sustainable and mindful manner.
