West Side
Join us on a delightful journey through the west side of Madeira Island, where charming villages, stunning viewpoints. Departing from Funchal, we’ll embark on a day filled with breathtaking sights and unforgettable experiences.
Our first stop is the quaint fishing village of Câmara de Lobos, where the colourful boats and lively atmosphere give you a taste of traditional Madeiran life. It’s the perfect spot to start our adventure and snap some picturesque photos.
Next, we’ll ascend to the famous Cabo Girão Skywalk, perched 589 meters above the ocean. Walk out onto the glass-floored balcony if you dare—it’s like standing on top of the world! The views are nothing short of amazing, with the cliffs dropping dramatically into the sparkling sea below.
After soaking in the views, we’ll head to Seixal, known for its unique black volcanic sandy beach. This hidden gem is a perfect spot to relax and take in the wild beauty of Madeira’s coastline.
Our journey then continues to the charming town of Porto Moniz, famous for its natural volcanic pools. You may take a dip in the crystal-clear waters or simply enjoy the view as you savour a delicious lunch by the sea.
As we make our way back, we’ll drive up to Paul da Serra, Madeira’s high-altitude plateau. Here, we’ll offer an optional stop at a local poncha bar—a cozy spot where you can try Madeira’s traditional drink, poncha, and enjoy some freshly made cakes. Just remember to have a few euros in cash for these tasty treats!
So, come along for a day of exploration, relaxation, and a whole lot of fun as we uncover the hidden gems and natural beauty of Madeira’s west side. Bring your sense of adventure!
